WiCCD’s YouTube Channel wins A CLAWBIE 2023!

On New Year’s Eve, we got some fabulous and happy news – a total surprise, but a wonderful one!

We were so excited to learn that Women in Canadian Criminal Defence has won a very coveted award for Canadian Legal Blogs called the #clawbies2023 for our YouTube channel (which I set up on a whim in July 2022 without having ever done such a thing in my life!!) All thanks to Maya Shukairy who hosts our programs and to our amazing admin staff who support us and the channel.

Here is the Award Winning WiCCD YouTube Channel – You Should Subscribe – we have great content:

Here is what the Award is For:

Best YouTube

Women in Canadian Criminal Defence
Established in early 2022, WiCCD (pronounced “wicked”) has produced a huge amount of excellent video content in just the past year, with two standout video series hosted by Maya Shukairy. The ‘Who Cares?’ series explores the issues of the day with a wide cross-section of legal professionals, and ‘Find Your Niche’ is a celebration of accomplishments of women in Canadian criminal defence.

And the official announcement identifying ALL the 2023 Winners:

Unbelievably proud of Maya Shukairy who hosts both Who Cares?? and Find Your Niche and is responsible for more than 70 interviews recorded in less than a year and a half so far.
