In one of the proudest moments of our lives, our beautiful daughter Scarlett has crossed the stage for the second time, just 16 months after obtaining her Early Childhood Studies undergraduate degree at TMU.

She completed a grueling expedited joint program between York and TMU and has become a certified primary school teacher. For her this has been a literally lifelong ambition. She set herself this goal at the age of 5 or 6, when she first became a reading buddy to the little kids just younger than her.

This was not the easiest road. She’s come through it all, with the unwavering support of her loving boyfriend of seven years!!, her closest friends and our family, with such poise and grace, and renewed strength. She’s shown remarkable courage and resilience.
A remarkable young woman full of love and kindness, with the whole of her life ahead of her to put so much good into the world.
And she’s going to be the best primary school teacher in the world.
