The Tide is finally Turning – but Games 2, 3 and 4 were a wild ride – Game 5 will get its own due diligence separately

Game 2 featured a robotic pitcher on the Dodger side that we weren’t gonna get past frankly and never did. That happened at home and blissfully I was not there for it. I only go to games where we win, apparently (Game 6 and 7 of the ALCS and Game 1 of the World Series, you see). My family’s decided as a result that I am the good charm of this team and my attendance is mandatory for a win. We will unpack what this now means for me in Game 6 and possibly Game 7 of the WORLD SERIES!!

Not much to say about Game 2 of the World Series, Oct 25 I think that was. It was BAD news for us and I worry will be repeated again at home in Game 6 – same nasty, filthy, unbelievable pitching against us. My son is refusing to go back as that was the third game he attended where they lost in this post season – but 500 series tickets set us back $185 a piece and you can rest assured 10 x that ++ was paid for similar seats by most of the other folks there. So at least there’s that. Still worth its value in gold.

This was too much. Two entire games played without a break in between – a double headed that wasn’t one that went 18 innings until 3 am TO time. We know how it ended, on a walk-off home run by Freddie Freeman, which was nothing short of “heart-wrenching.” Sherzer started it and then literally everybody else also pitched. Except Bieber, but he says he offered in the 12th and was ready – he warmed up just in case. Despite the brutal loss at the end, our boys did great. It was an outstanding performance over nearly 7 hours of play. The funniest part of this story is the guy who sang the American anthem also sang it the last time there was an 18 inning World Series game. The 2018 Dodgers Red Sox game. He must never sing again.

Springer got hurt – an oblique strain sadly – at some point in the middle of the night during this ridiculous marathon and left the game. He’ll be back before it’s all over though, reportedly, thank God.

Ohtani not at his best thank God and Vlad gets a home run off him – We take the Game 6:2 and our confidence is building! Also just a regular sized 9 inning game – lasting less than half the last one. Phew!!
