I’ve been going through it people – daily or nearly daily visits to “home care” to address wound healing and just so much strain on my body – it’s affecting my mind and mood, something fierce and not in a good way.
So I get up super early every day, do my little Wordle and then scroll through Duolingo lessons in 4 languages. I’ve been at Spanish for almost three years, just started Italian and keep my Hungarian fresh.
Duolingo claims I’m pretty much fluent in French but that’s ’cause Duolingo is a little delusional I guess.

Spanish is 3 years in with a strong beginner level unlocked… yikes!
And I’ve just started Italian but it’s gonna go real fast ’cause I was once fluent as a kid.
Maybe it’s just me, and it’s not easy keeping them straight, but I find this relaxing and seems to help keep me sharp throughout the day – for some unknown reason.
UPDATE NOV 7 2025 – Just as the wounds have healed by and large I reach 1000 days of DUOLINGO – a solid milestone to be celebrated!!
