This Edition has a LOT of really valuable content on mental health and the criminal law.
I’ve read it almost cover to cover and must absolutely commend it as required reading.
Congratulations to FTD’s Editor Neha Chugh on this volume.
It is a collection of contributions by new and diverse voices in the main addressing new and diverse issues or perpetual conundrums in the criminal law where mental health intersects with it, but with a fresh look and interesting take.
The Editor’s Notebook opens with a moving personal piece by Neha about grief, loss and mental health among the profession.
I had the privilege of contributing a piece with the wonderful Nader Hasan about the Faqiri inquest.

Dr. Ruby Dhand addresses mental health courts.
Carter Martell and Sarah Rankin analyze R v. Kahsai out of the SCC.

Breana Vandebeek and Nathan Gorham discuss R. v. Bharwani and fitness at the ONCA level.
And Chris Rudnicki tackles mental health and sentencing in his new column on “Weaponizing Theory”, which I fully expect will be brilliant.
Among many other things!
This is an Edition to save, bookmark and pull out when needed.
