Who Cares about WiCCD?? New Special Dropping Sunday Sept 24, 2023 – All About WiCCD!!

I had so much fun today with wonderful WiCCD Exec members Maya Shukairy and Amanda Ross recording a special episode of WiCCD’s Who Cares?? Series all about WiCCD.

Over your morning cuppa, Women in Canadian Criminal Defence invites you to learn a bit about the herstory of our Association as we head toward our 2nd birthday in about 4 months. 20 minute short intro with updates about what’s coming up in October alone (there’s a LOT!) and some long-term plans. This amazing group of women is now nearly 500 members strong!!

When I conceived WiCCD less than 2 years ago, I never could have imagined, in my wildest dreams, what a stunning success it would become. Totally barrier free and free of charge, it is truly national, warmly inclusive, supportive, diverse and thriving. WiCCD has surpassed all expectations and improved the lives of women and gender diverse lawyers and law students in criminal defence across the country. Thank you to our members, volunteer staff, and our exceptional Exec: D. Sid Freeman Amanda Ross Sarah Rankin Cassandra DeMelo M. Shukairy Sana Sajid Hamna Anwar Breana Vandebeek Maija Martin and me 😍
