Throwback Thursday to the 2011 Bencher Elections!

This made me smile so much – finally found a whole bag of the hand-made buttons my cherished friend and now co-author and editor Dr Ruby Dhand and I used to promote me trying to get $$ for Legal Aid Ontario by running for Bencher. I have no idea what I was thinking. Pretty tho!!

During that campaign, some running were giving away tiny milk chocolates with their name on them & “Sweet” on the back. [They were delicious too] – Candidates won a seat. After I lost, I was proposing to hand out my own chocolates (but dark!) with my name on them that said “Bitter” on the back.

But, alas, I never did. Ran out of money — still sad about that. However, I do have some buttons left!!

Actually ALL of the social media I have is because of this Bencher run some nearly 12 years ago now.

Ruby set up this WordPress Blog site and my FB and all other socials I still use today, although obviously for other purposes. It was a good experience overall and taught me a great deal. Never to be repeated, but glad to have done! As with so many other things in life…….

Now, it’s just an experience to Tweet About as I have done here:
