I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to participate in this innovative project, to the colleagues involved in it and especially to David and Cheryl Milne for including me.

A last word about David – here is someone who knows how to support and elevate colleagues. I mentioned our new book during this podcast and David has included references to the book in his new book coming out shortly, without being asked to do so – just immediately offering assistance to raise awareness of the legal issues around mental health disabilities. Very kind and generous and inclusive. I am indebted to him and hugely appreciative of his assistance.

Finally, the last part of this episode is a conversation with lawyer Stephen Aylward of Stockwoods. I whole-heartedly recommend having a very close listen to what he has to say, including the suggestion he floats that we include a professional obligation in our Rules of Practice for lawyers to accommodate our disabled colleague’s needs while practising law.

Oh, and where I for some reason talk about section “17” of the Charter, you know I mean 7 – a bizarre little slip-up that might not inspire confidence, but is the kind of thing I sometimes do that for some reason, does make me laugh, every time. Such an expert! Bear with me, forgive me, and I hope to have been of some interest and utility.

Post-Script – this Episode of this amazing season / series has already been downloaded more than 500 times in less than 3 weeks by November 15 2022. An amazing welcome & response – thank you!!
