Giving Away Some Earlier Editions of (My own) Mental Health Law Texts – New Books Coming out in 2022/23

I’m excited about my publications coming out in the next six to nine months. Some new Editions of existing publications and a brand new book that’s going to make life a lot easier for a lot of people!

Since new editions of the CCB Guide (2023) will be out in August of 2022 and the Halsbury’s is due for its next 4 year update in 2023, I am gifting away old copies of earlier editions that I have left in my library.

I’m also giving away whatever copies I have left of the MDL Guide. Making life changes, no room for extra baggage!

The MDL Guide is most likely to be of use to you if you want to drill deep down into review board practice. Same with the CCB Guide only about practising before Ontario’s Consent and Capacity Board. The Halsbury’s is strictly for those interested in civil mental health laws all across Canada.

Anyway, while I hope you buy the new books, if you’re into mental health law, I also know there are new / young lawyers out there who can’t afford a new book every year. If that’s you, and you’re OK with somewhat dated Commentary – and definitely dated legislation, just to get you rolling, I am happy for you to take the older Editions off my hands.

If demand exceeds supply (I only have a few volumes of each), I will make some tough decisions on a principled basis. Toronto people first, because they can pick things up and I don’t have to send them out. Younger / newer lawyers first.

If you’re interested, you can leave a comment on this blog or reply privately – I will get both.

I will contact you back only if I have a book for you – sorry about that – likely can’t answer everyone.
