Always leading the way, WiCCD is rolling out another first!!
I am incredibly proud of this innovative, unique program Women In Canadian Criminal Defence has built to support women representing interveners in the Supreme Court of Canada | Cour suprême du Canada and to increaase capacity to support interventions generally, including for small non-profit social justice advocacy organizations.
Our Amazing Judges From Across Canada!! who have so generously agreed to preside over this event are absolutely humbling — our mooters are extremely fortunate as they will receive feedback from these spectacular hearing panels.
Our mentors are the cream of the crop of seasoned criminal lawyers, defence, Crown and court staff lawyers.
If you’re interested, here is a full list of all participants who have worked so hard to put this program together and who are looking forward to moot day with building anticipation and excitement.
This moot – WiCCD’s EMOAT! or WiCCD’s Experiential Mentorship in Oral Advocacy Training program is quickly going to become one of the most coveted mooting programs. It’s already garnered a great deal of “buzz” and with good reason. It’s special, it’s unique and it will be FUN!
To benefit, you MUST be a WiCCD member so join us if you want to do it next year. Membership application link is in Women In Canadian Criminal Defence‘s bio on all our socials.
Formal announcement is coming onto all WiCCD’s Socials shortly!!
Thank you to our organizers, to @WiCCD_Canada, our mooters & mentors, and
