Inquest Jury’s Verdict in the Abdirahman ABDI Inquest, Ottawa – December 17 2024

The Verdict did not include any reference to psychosis or schizophrenia in the cause of death, one of the more contentious issues in the Inquest.

Homicide was the manner of death.

There are 57 Recommendations aimed at improving police interaction with Persons In Crisis and especially Black persons in crisis.
