Verdict and Recommendations Released

On December 12, 2023 The Coroner’s Jury in the Faqiri Inquest returned a Verdict of Homicide

57 Recommendations include Oversight by a Correctional Inspectorate, An Independent Advocate, Mental Health Courts re-imagined, Funded Special Beds for Mental Health Assessments and Training on Mandatory Bystander / Peer Intervention to Stop Excessive Use of Force, among other things.
